Abergavenny Tennis Club

Abergavenny Tennis Club holds Clubmark status and offers a superb yearly program. Established in 1923, the club is a vibrant, family friendly tennis club. Located within walking distance of the historic market town of Abergavenny, there are regular mix in sessions, social events, competitions as well as an award-winning coaching programme.

 

Social Play

Regular social tennis session are open to members of all ages and abilities. These weekly events are a great way to play some tennis, improve you game and meet with other club members.

 

Coaching

The club has a thriving coaching program for all ages and abilities, which runs throughout the year. Juniors meet for a dedicated night every Friday, which is coach lead. These sessions enable younger members to improve there tennis skills and technique.

 

Competitive Tennis

The monthly American Tournament offers another great opportunity for members to play more competitive tennis. At these events, players rotate every 4 games and accumulate points based on games won.

 

Membership

Many different types of membership is available including social. It is worth noting that Abergavenny Tennis Club does have a joining fee. However, there are various promotions throughout the year which offer zero joining fees.

 

Extras

In addition to Clubmark status, the club was Awarded Tennis Wales’ Club of the Year in 2010.
