Alderley Edge Tennis Club

Dating back to 1870, Alderley Edge Tennis Club is located in one of the most beautiful settings in Cheshire. Located at the foot of the Edge, Club members enjoy a stunning view over the cricket field up to the Edge, whether they’re playing tennis or socialising on the veranda.

 

The club’s aim is to provide quality tennis facilities for both adults and juniors. And with many families as members at the club, Alderley Edge Tennis Club is a vibrant community sports club. And as part of Alderley Edge Cricket Club, members also have access to Cricket, Hockey and Squash.

 

Social Play

A lot of social tennis happens at the club, from friends meeting on a court for a few games to weekly club sessions. And four times a year, members meet for club tournaments.

 

Coaching

Head Coach, Stuart Murray has just been named the North Region’s Coach of the Year in the Aegon British Tennis Awards. Adults benefit from regular group coaching sessions which focus on certain aspects of the game and enable all to improve. The club also offers Cardio Tennis sessions. For Juniors, there is a range of activities available. From regular club sessions to holiday camps and more!

 

Competitive Tennis

Well known for league tennis, Alderley Edge Tennis Club competes locally and nationally is many men’s, ladies’ and junior teams.

 

Membership

Membership is open to all with a number of options available. However, there is an entrance fee and membership costs is based on the amount of sports you wish to play at the club.

 

Extras

As testament to the members hard work and high standards, Alderley Edge Tennis Club gained Clubmark accreditation in 2013.
