Bath Tennis Club

Tucked away in a quiet and leafy location just to the west of Victoria Park, Bath Tennis Club is a friendly, community tennis club. Believed to be one of the country’s oldest clubs. The club’s history dates back to 1880.

 

Social Play

There are plenty of opportunities to play socially with other club members. Plus, the club is open to both members and non-members. During the spring and summer, Bath Tennis Club provides free play opportunities to the local community. All of these session enable anyone to get on a court and hit a few tennis balls.

 

Coaching

Excellent coaching is available for adults and juniors alike. For the younger members, there’s mini tennis, which uses fun game play to teach the basics of tennis. Adults benefit from a number of group courses that take place throughout the year.

 

Competitive Tennis

If you would like play more competitively, club teams compete in the local Avon and Wiltshire leagues. There’s also singles boxes and club tournaments. Competitive tennis is actively encouraged for all members, regardless of age.

 

Membership

Bath Tennis club offers a wide range of membership options, nearly as big as the list of benefit of joining! These include Adult, Family, Junior and Social as well as pay as you go. New members also receive a discount.

 

Extras

Seven-time Wimbledon winner William Renshaw was a club champion, more than 130 years ago.
