Carisbrooke Tennis Club

Carisbrooke Tennis Club in Knighton, Leicestershire has some of the best tennis facilities in the county. Carisbrooke is welcoming and inclusive, and provides a high-quality tennis programme.

 

Social Play

While the club has outdoor tennis courts, this doesn’t stop play in the winter months as 2 courts are covered under an air dome. On Tuesday evenings throughout the year, members turn up and mix-in. New recruits and long-standing members, young or old, it doesn’t matter, all members are welcome! Selected junior members are also welcome to play on Club Night, by invitation.

 

Coaching

Carisbrooke has one of the most dynamic coaching teams in the county. Jack Simpson is the Head Coach and director of the coaching programme. There is coaching for all abilities, from absolute beginners through to county standard.

 

Competitive Tennis

The club fields one of Leicestershire’s largest amount of teams. There are men’s, ladies’, mixed, juniors and seniors team which compete in local and national leagues. In addition to success in national competitions, the club’s hosts a number of tournaments which are open to all levels of ability.

 

Membership

Carisbrooke Tennis Club offers flexible memberships for families, students, and juniors. As well as special Parent Play memberships, social memberships, joint membership offers and discounted rates for those who live more than ten miles away from the club. There is also a special introductory membership fee for new adult members who have not played much tennis before.

 

Extras

Post tennis, the excellent clubhouse has a well-stocked bar and kitchen. Members also enjoy a lively and exciting social calendar.
