Chelmsfordians Tennis Club
Chelmsfordians Tennis Club is a friendly community sports club based in Chelmsford. All are welcome regardless of age or playing standard. The varied club programme consists of social play, match fixtures and coaching. This means there’s bound to be something for all local tennis players. And families and junior members are particularly welcome.
Chelmsfordians Tennis Club has achieved Tennismark accreditation and operates with strong child protection policies.
At the heart of the weekly programme is a club session on Tuesday evenings. This allow members to play regularly, work on their skills and catch up with other members. Of course, there’s plenty of court time for you to book outside of the club’s programme. And you can easily book courts online!
An extensive coaching programme is available for both adults and juniors. In term times, there are fourteen junior after-school classes and during holiday periods. In addition to junior coaching, a number of groups for ladies and adults also take place. A number of courses are also available throughout the year for all age groups. As are private one-on-one lessons .
3 Men’s teams, 3 Ladies teams and 2 Mixed teams compete in local summer and winter evening leagues. As well as a Ladies team in a daytime summer Seniors league. The highlight of the club’s calender is the main club competition. This takes place during the summer and concludes with a Finals Day in September.
Chelmsfordians Tennis Club has no joining fee or basis standard. Therefore it’s simple to become a member. Plus with five membership types, all kinds of tennis players are able to join. You can even join the club online!
Through membership of the tennis section, adult members also become members of the Old Chelmsfordians Association. And therefore have access to the clubhouse and bar as well as other such facilities.
