Codicote Tennis Club
Codicote Tennis Club was established in 1967 as a single court club based at the St Albans Road recreation ground. Over the years, the club has grown and developed significantly. The club now has both adult and juniors, representing the club in competitive matches as well as a similar number of players who prefer to play socially.
Members enjoy meeting twice a week for social play. These sessions happen on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. On the 1st Wednesday of every month the club session is run by Guy Thomas, the Club Coach. All of these session are open to all on a turn up and play basis.
Guy Thomas from Over and In heads the club’s coaching. Guy runs a number of weekly coaching sessions for all ages. Including ‘Rusty Rackets’ sessions twice a week for beginners and those returning to the game. As well as Cardio Tennis sessions.
The club has over 30 teams (mixture of men, women and juniors) representing Codicote in Hertfordshire wide competitions and leagues throughout the year. These are for all standards of player and start at ages 5 upwards for juniors and any age for adults! There are also club tournaments throughout the year which are open to all members.
