Forrester Park Tennis Club
Forrester Park is located in beautiful countryside mid-way between Colchester and Chelmsford. Established for over 40 years, the club is renowned for its friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. With golf and tennis on offer based around a 16th Century building and family home, which has been sympathetically extended and updated over the years. Forrester Park offers the best of all worlds – a traditional setting with up-to-the-minute facilities and excellent service.
Social Play
There are many opportunities to mix with other members and play social tennis at Forrester Park Tennis Club. Informal groups meet on Monday morning as well as on Thursday and Friday mornings. In the longer summer evenings, Club Night runs on Wednesdays and Junior Club Night is on a Friday. There’s also plenty of court time available for your own games.
Coaching
Danny Lowe is an LTA Level 3 Coach who offers individual and group coaching for all ages and abilities. Danny also holds several group coaching sessions for both juniors and adults.
Competitive Tennis
The club enters four teams into the local summer leagues (Ladies, Men and two Mixed teams. And therefore provide a range of opportutities for all standards. There are also a number of informal tournaments of various kinds throughout the spring, summer and autumn. As well as an annual Club Championship (singles and doubles play). In the winter, there’ are friendly matches are against local clubs. This ensure that you can play competitively all year round should you wish.
Membership
Forrester Park Tennis Club welcomes new members and non-members and provides coaching for all ages and abilities. While courts are available on a pay as you go basis, membership offers many benefits and is very affordable. There are tennis membership for adults, couples, juniors and families, all of which entitle you to free use of the courts, eligibility for club sessions and free entry into club competitions, as well as discounts on food and drink in the clubhouse.
Extras
Whether you’re playing golf or tennis, members enjoy winding down with a drink or a bite to eat in the clubhouse’s bar. Forrester Park also is a superb venue for parties and weddings.
