Grove Lawn Tennis Club is a well established and friendly club in the Old Moulsham area of Chelmsford. Established in 1893, the club takes its name from Grove Road where it was originally situated. As a thriving club, there is an extensive range of activities on offer from social play, coaching and match fixtures..

Social Play

There is an active social tennis programme with at least one social tennis session each day. This means no matter how busy you are, there will always be a game waiting! Of course, as a member you can access to the courts whenever you feel like playing.

Coaching

A full time tennis coach and 3 part time coaches offer a wide range of options. Open to junior and senior level, a number of group coaching session take place each week. Individual coaching is also available.

Competitive Tennis

Teams compete for the local and Essex leagues at junior, adult and veterans levels. This therefore provides plenty of opportunity for both informal and competitive tennis at all levels.

Membership

Grove Lawn Tennis Club does charge a joining on adult and off peak memberships. However this amount is reasonable. Many other classes of membership are available and visitors are welcome for a small fee. If you’re not sure about joining, then the club offers potential members up to three visits for free.
