Hanney Tennis Club

Founded in 1988, Hanney Tennis Club is a friendly and vibrant village club situated in Wantage.

Social Play

The weekly timetable is full of activities for all ages. Turn up and play club sessions are on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings, all year-round. Everyone is welcome at these sessions including certain juniors by invitation. In addition to these sessions, the club runs a Ladies session on Wednesday afternoons.

Coaching

Individual and group coaching is available with the club coach. Cardio Tennis is available on Wednesday mornings in term-time and is a great way to combine fitness with tennis.

Younger members can benefit from coaching appropriate to age including short tennis for the very young. There are also special summer programmes, including ‘Road to Wimbledon’ challenge and a family oriented ‘Adult/Junior’ competition/barbecue.

Competitive Tennis

A variety of teams currently compete in winter and summer leagues. As well as in friendly matches against clubs in the surrounding area. There is also an annual summer tournament, which is open to all club members.

Membership

Open to all, 5 different membership packages are available at Hanney Tennis Club. These include Adult, Student, and Family. And since there’s no joining fees or playing in test, becoming a member is easy. Also, prospective players are welcome to join in at club sessions for a month before joining.
