Hill Lane Tennis Club

Hill Lane Tennis Club is a small, friendly community-based club within the city of Plymouth, which operates across two sites within 500 metres of each. Hill Lane is dedicated to juniors and the Lockington site is used for the adults. The membership ranges from the age of 3 up to 80 plus!

The club has a rich history and in 1931, the club hosted the first round Davis Cup match, which was the only Davis Cup match ever played in Plymouth! Fred Perry went on to win the competition that year!

Social Play

There are social sessions on Saturday morning and Tuesday nights for the juniors. For the adults, there’s club sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday.

Coaching

There is a range of adult and junior coaching sessions ran by the club coaches, John and Glenn from Tennis Plymouth. Some free adult coaching sessions take place on Thursdays.

Competitive Tennis

The club also holds internal junior competitions. As well as entering adult teams into the local league. So there’s a range of competitive options for all ages.
