Hook Norton Tennis Club
Hook Norton Tennis Club is a friendly and active club in North Oxfordshire, with around one hundred members. The club is part of the Hook Norton Sports and Social Club, and shares a clubhouse.
Catering for all standards of play from beginners, the club welcomes and encourages all, from beginners to team players in league teams.
There are regular club sessions on Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoons, Friday evenings and Sundays mornings. These sessions are a superb way to play some tennis and work on your game while meeting other members.
Marc Gilkes, an LTA qualified coach, offers a comprehensive coaching programme for all ages and abilties. In addition to the junior program, Marc runs adult coaching groups and Cardio Tennis.
If you’re looking for more match play then club teams compete in the local Banbury Tennis League. This provides members with a number of competitive tennis opportunities.
The club’s membership options are unclear and therefore can’t be compared with other local clubs. However, the club does use an online booking system, which makes court hire easy.
Finally, Hook Norton Tennis Club holds Tennismark accreditation, which means that the LTA and Sport England recognise the club has a high standard of management.
