Hook Norton Tennis Club is a friendly and active club in North Oxfordshire, with around one hundred members. The club is part of the Hook Norton Sports and Social Club, and shares a clubhouse.

Catering for all standards of play from beginners, the club welcomes and encourages all, from beginners to team players in league teams.

Social Play

There are regular club sessions on Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoons, Friday evenings and Sundays mornings. These session act as a great way to get involved with the club, play some tennis and meet other members.

Marc Gilkes, an LTA qualified coach, offers a comprehensive coaching programme for all ages and abilties. In addition to the junior program, Marc runs adult coaching groups and Cardio Tennis.

Competitive Tennis

Teams from the club compete in the local Banbury Tennis League. This provides members with a number of competitive tennis opportunities.

The club’s membership options are unclear and therefore can’t be compared with other local clubs. However, the club does use an online booking system, which makes court hire easy.

Finally, Hook Norton Tennis Club is Tennismark accredited. This means that the LTA and Sport England recognise the club has a high standard of management.
