Hursley Lawn Tennis Club

Hursley Lawn Tennis Club is a small, sociable club. Situated in the picturesque village of Hursley, the club is just south of Winchester. With two grass courts, which are easy to locate at Hursley Recreation Ground, the club’s season runs from May to September.

Social Play

During the season, there are regular mix-in sessions on Saturday afternoons as well as on Monday and Wednesday evenings. These sessions a fantastic way to enjoy tennis.

Also, each winter, the club teams up with other local venues to enable members to keep playing all year round. Currently, Thornden Tennis Club in Chandlers Ford allows the club to play in mix-ins on Saturday afternoons on hard courts during the period October to April.

Coaching

Sadly, no coaching is available. However, there are many other local tennis clubs who do offer an extensive programme. So you might want to consider them.

Competitive Tennis

There are friendly matches with local clubs. As well as two or three intra-club fun tournaments each summer. Sadly, there’s no league play available.

Membership

Hursley Tennis Club membership is close to capacity for such a small club. However,  new members are welcome to share in the enjoyment (and maintenance!) of our basic facilities.

Extras

In addition to playing tennis, social events take place throughout the year. For example, evening meals in local pubs, entering teams into quiz competitions and so much more.
