Markland Hill Racquets Club

Originally established in 1927 as a Lawn Tennis Club, Markland Hill Racquets Club has progressed to offer so much more. Today, Markland Hill is recognised as one of the leading racquets clubs in the North West region. The club offers tennis, squash, badminton and fitness facilities, plus a full programme of social events throughout the year.

Social Play

The club places great emphasis on social tennis sessions. These events enable members of all abilities to play mixed tennis in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. New members are especially welcome at these sessions, where there is a chance to improve your tennis skills, meet new people and then relax in the bar post session. Club sessions run throughout the year on Wednesday evenings and on Saturdays afternoons.

Coaching

A fully qualified team offers excellent coaching across all racket sports. Both private or group tuition is available. For Juniors, Markland Hill offers a wide range of tennis activities including regular club nights and holiday camps.

Competitive Tennis

A number of tennis competitions take place throughout the year including Winter League fixtures and an annual tournament. Markland Hill enters five teams into the Bolton Sports Federation Summer Tennis League. Each team is made up of players of a similar ability and therefore all who wish to test their sills in match play, can! And as a result of multiple league teams, there is ample opportunity to progress to higher teams as your confidence grows.

In addition to various membership packages, Markland Hill Racquets Club offers tennis courts on a pay and play basis. Also, you can book courts can seven days a week, either at the club or online.
