Mayfield Lawn Tennis Club

Mayfield Lawn Tennis Club is one of the oldest tennis clubs in Sussex, having been started in 1895. The club is set in a sheltered peaceful environment near to Mayfield village.

 

The Club has a thriving membership with activities for all ages, from coaching for the four year olds up to gentle fours for those in advancing years. There are many coaching courses, inter-club matches, club days, and tournaments both social and more competitive.

 

Social Play

Each week there are four social play sessions. Three are for adults, and the other is for juniors. Therefore whatever your age or requirements you can stay active and enjoy the benefits of playing tennis year round.

 

Coaching

Members and non-members can participate in group coaching, but private individual coaching is for members only. For junior members, there is free coaching on Friday evenings. Kids can also join in holiday camps, coaching courses and tournaments. Adults have a range of courses to choose from, all of which run in term time.

 

Competitive Tennis

In addition to a number of club tournaments, there are teams in local leagues. So whatever your level of match play, there’s plenty on offer at Mayfield.

 

Membership

While Mayfield Lawn Tennis Club does charge a joining fee, adult membership for example is around £2 per week. In addition to adult membership, the club offers a range of options. Temporary membership is also available.
