Penarth Lawn Tennis Club

Penarth Lawn Tennis Club, established in 1884, is one of the oldest tennis clubs in the UK. Situated in the heart of Penarth, overlooking over the sea. A vibrant, community-based club that promotes tennis excellence and also believes that a club must provide a friendly, inclusive and enjoyable environment for members.

 

Social Play

Each week there are 4 social tennis sessions and so you have plenty of opportunities to play tennis! Plus, it’s easy to book a court outside these sessions and you can even do it online.

 

Coaching

Looking to develop your skills? Then there’s a superb professional coaching programme available at the club and is lead by The Vale Tennis Academy In addition to a range of group courses and private lessons for adults, they offer FREE junior coaching on Saturday mornings. Also, during the school breaks, there are kids holiday camps.

 

Competitive Tennis

In terms of league play, Many teams compete in summer and winter competitions and so do the club’s juniors! Plus, there are regular club competitions throughout the year including annual Club Championships and Club Handicap Tournaments.

Extras

After a game or two, relax with a drink in the clubhouse’s bar. This space is often the venue of the club’s regular social events. These including quizzes, wine tasting, theme nights, bonfire night, Christmas parties, etc.
