Founded in 1927, Portishead Lawn Tennis Club is a thriving community sports club, located near Bristol at Portishead Lake Grounds. With regular club nights each week, the club also hold a variety of tournaments and events throughout the year.

 

Social Play

The weekly club nights enable members to play some superb tennis against each other while improving skills and catching up with old friends. Outside these session, members are free to play on any free courts.

 

Coaching

The club’s highly qualified coach, Mike Greedy, runs one to one and group coaching for both junior and adult players throughout the year. So, if you’re looking to develop your game, Mike will enable you to reach your goals.

 

Competitive Tennis

Challenge yourself with some match play! Club teams compete in both the Avon Winter and Summer Leagues. And as a result, the club is always keen to encourage players to join teams. Kids also compete in local Junior Leagues. Club tournaments also take place throughout the year and enable members to play some friendly matches.

 

Membership

With nine classes of membership, all are catered for. Plus with affordable fee, Portishead Lawn Tennis Club is worth joining.

 

Extras

As an excellent community sports club, a range of non-tennis social event take place throughout the year.
