Retford Lawn Tennis Club

Founded in 1891, Retford Lawn Tennis Club is set in an enviable and scenic position backing onto the Chesterfield Canal and lying close to Retford Town Centre. All are welcome no matter whether you are a beginner or semi-pro!

The present facilities are both modern and spacious for you to enjoy a great game of tennis followed by a relaxing drink in the bar.

Social Play

Various Social tennis sessions take place during the week both during the summer and winter. The club puts great emphasis on everyone joining in and having fun. And of course, if that’s not enough opportunities to play, then you can always book a court for your own games.

Coaching

Every Monday evening and Saturday morning, there is coaching for children of all abilities. Competitive opportunities for the children are available throughout coaching sessions and competition days also take place during the year. Private coaching sessions are also available. Sadly, the club doesn’t provide any coaching for adults.

Competitive Tennis

Members have many matchplay opportunities throughout the year including club competitions and league play. So if you’re looking for more competitive action, the club can offer you a range.

Membership

Retford Lawn Tennis Club boasts great facilities for you to enjoy tennis all year round and a busy programme of tennis for all ages. Plus with 5 membership packages, whether you’re an adult, junior or family the club caters for you.
