Seacourt Tennis Club
Seacourt Tennis Club is Hayling Island’s premier Racket sport venue. When a small group of Hayling residents rescued one of only a handful of the world’s Real Tennis courts in 1966, they created a unique rackets club with a unique atmosphere. The team at Seacourt have been keeping the spirit of that club alive ever since.
Real Tennis is the original racket sport from which the modern game of lawn tennis is descended and only a small number of active courts still remain in the United Kingdom, Australia, United States and France. One of these courts forms the centre piece of the club.
Seacourt has two floodlit Lawn Tennis courts. Lawn Tennis is very active at Seacourt with regular events and plenty of free court time for members to book.
Real Tennis forms a key part of Seacourt’s junior coaching, with weekday afternoon and evening classes as well as pay-and-play lessons on a Saturday. The pros are on hand to help players of all ages with their real tennis game.
Coaching is also available for Juniors and Adults who play lawn tennis. The club professionals offer a broad choice of group and individual coaching sessions for all age groups and standards.
Many tournaments for Real Tennis players take place during the year and include local and national competitions. There are also many competitions for lawn tennis players including league matches and club tournaments.
If you’re thinking of joining Seacourt Tennis Club, then you’re welcome to have a look around. The club’s annual membership fee depends on the sports that you intend to play. Membership fees can be paid annually or monthly.
Also Seacourt Tennis Club has four Squash courts, a Rackets Court and two sports halls, both of which contain badminton courts. As well as a Gym, Function room, Clubhouse and Changing rooms.
