Sherborne Tennis Club

Sherborne Tennis Club is situated on the grounds of the Terrace Playing Fields on the outskirts of the ancient historic town in the county of Dorset. The club welcomes players of all ages and abilities, from beginners to experienced competitive players.

 

Social Play

Each week members enjoy playing at many club sessions. Also, as a member, you can arrange to play privately with friends or family. Non-members are also very welcome to use the club’s facilities. You can hire a court online using the ‘Pay and Play’ facility.

 

Coaching

A dedicated team of 5 LTA Coaches led by Head Coach Matt Long provide the club’s large membership with a range of group and individual lessons. Non-members are also welcome and can join in coaching programmes by paying an additional guest fee.

 

Competitive Tennis

The club competes in the Yeovil and District League, the Dorset Club’s Leagues and the Aegon Leagues. As well as hosting its own tournaments throughout the year. Simply put, there’s a range of competitive play for all ages and standards.

 

Membership

Joining Sherborne Tennis Club is easy. There are no entry requirements and you don’t have to be “played in”. As a not-for-profit club, and the club’s membership subscriptions are set so that they cover the cost of the club’s facilities.

The club has an excellent social scene with a range of events scheduled throughout the year.
