Shinfield Tennis Club

Shinfield Tennis Club is a friendly Clubmark accredited club, which is located in the pleasant surroundings of Shinfield village, which is close to Reading.

In 2012 and with the help of the LTA, Sport England and both the local Parish Council and Wokingham Borough Council, the club underwent major redevelopment to transform it into a modern playing facility.

Social Play

As tennis is a great social sport, there’s weekly social play and events, which are open to all members. Whether your goal is to play more tennis or meet new people, Shinfield has plenty of both on offer.

Coaching

On offer at the club is a full programme of coaching for adults and juniors alike. All are welcome and there’s coaching for those just starting or returning and also for team players. For the juniors, there’s an exciting range of activities.

Competitive Tennis

Shinfield Tennis Club have Mens, Ladies and Mixed Teams in the Berkshire League and a mens team in Aegon. Juniors also are active in local and national competitions.

Membership

The members of Shinfield Tennis Club want to encourage more local people to enjoy the benefits of the club. So the club has a simple membership structure. 5 membership packages are available and include adult, junior, and coaching only. And since the adult packages roughly costs £2 per week, the club offers superb value for money.
