Somerton Tennis Club

Somerton Tennis Club has been in existence for over 70 years in many locations throughout Somerton. The club is based on a simple formula: To provide a well managed and kept tennis facility for its members and local area.

Whether you want to play in a club team in the Yeovil and District league or just have a gentle knock with another member or two, the choice is yours.

Social Play

The club runs two open club sessions on Wednesday evening and again on Sunday mornings. During the winter season when there are no evening matches the Men have a session on Mondays and the Ladies on Thursdays.

Coaching

Both Junior and Adult coaching is available with LTA qualified coach. As an adult member, you are welcome to have a complimentary ‘Individual Tennis Assessment’ session’ with the club’s coach. And then join a group course or take private coaching.

For the juniors, there are weekly sessions during term times and exciting camps in the holidays.

Competitive Tennis

In terms of competitive match action, there are club teams in the Yeovil and District league. And as a result, the club is always on the lookout for new competitive players to join the club’s teams.

Membership

Becoming a member of Somerton Tennis Club is easy. You’re welcome to visit up to three social sessions for free before joining. As you can play at these sessions, you’re able to experience the club first hand and also meet some members. If you decide to join, then a few options are available and ensure the club caters to all local players.
