Southwell Lawn Tennis Club

Southwell Lawn Tennis Club is idyllically located in the heart of the historic cathedral town of Newark. On offer is a comprehensive range of opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

 

The Club warmly welcomes players of all standards, young and old.

 

Social Play

Informal social club sessions for adults operate on Monday and Friday mornings as well as on Tuesday evenings. These sessions always operate on a mix-in basis, and so provide an excellent opportunity for players of all abilities to join in.

 

Working in partnership with the local Leisure Centre, one court is available for ‘pay and play’ public use at certain times.

 

Coaching

Coaching is available for adults and juniors and is provided on a group or individual basis by the ‘On The Ball’ coaching team. For Juniors, there is a comprehensive programme of coaching. As well as match play from 5-17 years.

 

Competitive Tennis

For adults, there are numerous match play opportunities, with seven teams running in winter and summer Nottingham Leagues. There is also an annual Club Mixed Doubles Tournament.

 

Membership

If you are new to the Southwell area or just thinking of playing more tennis, why not experience the club at one of the weekly social play sessions. Then when you’re ready to join, Southwell Lawn Tennis Club offers a number of different membership packages. So, the club caters to all types of tennis players.

 

Extras

Social events for Juniors and Adults take place throughout the year. These include Annual Dinner, Quiz nights, BBQs and so much more!
