Vicars Moor Lawn Tennis Club
Vicars Moor Lawn Tennis Club established in 1926 on its present site in the heart of Winchmore Hill. A thriving tennis club that endeavours to cater for all standards of play from beginners to league players. The club boasts a vibrant junior section, well attended club sessions as well as an active social side. The club has teams in the Middlesex League, as well as LTA qualified coaches. Along side it’s exciting programme, the club has first rate facilities.
Different membership categories meet for their own social tennis. These weekly sessions enables tennis players of a similar standard to just turn up and mix in for doubles play. Outside these session, certain courts are bookable by members.
The club’s first rate coaching is open to members and non-members. The club’s coaching team run regular group coaching for all standards. Individual lessons are also available.
On Tuesday afternoons, Junior and Mini Tennis takes priority. There are additional junior coaching clinics on Saturday morning and both Monday and Friday from 4pm.
The club competes in the Middlesex Leagues with teams in both summer and winter competitions. Juniors and Vets are also active in local leagues. In addition the club host it’s own Championships each year. As well as an Open Tournament.
Since there are no joining fees and a range of options to choose from, Vicars Moor Lawn Tennis Club is a great club to join! The membership options include week day only, full adult, family and junior. Also, visitors are permitted to play at the club a maximum of 5 times in a year before having to join.
Social Events take place throughout the year. The bar is usually open Monday to Friday evenings, and on a Sunday lunchtime. Members can also hire Vicars Moor Lawn Tennis Club’s facilities for a small fee.
