Watton-At-Stone Tennis Club
Formed in the late 1970s, Watton-At-Stone Tennis Club play on floodlit courts on the Multi-Purpose Play Area (MPPA). This community facility was constructed on the Sports Field in 1984 by the Parish Council.
While the MPPA is marked out as 2 tennis courts, is it used for other activities such as training sessions and five-a-side football. The MPPA is open to the public, however, the Sports and Social Club has priority use of the facility at certain times.
As there are no booking fees and it’s easy to reserve courts online, you can play tennis as often as you feel like it. And also with weekly club sessions, there’s always a game happening!
The club has a strong junior-section and an established coaching programme for all age groups. So regardless of your age, if you want to improve your backhand or serve, there’s plenty of opportunities.
In addition to holding an annual Tournament, the club participates in many local leagues. Including the Datchworth Leagues, Hertfordshire Ladies’ Veteran’s Winter League and many others.
As a small club, Watton-At-Stone Tennis Club draws membership fro the local area. Therefore it’s a great place to meet other residents while enjoying tennis. A number of membership options are available, which cater to all.
