Weir Recreation Tennis Club is located in the South side of Glasgow and shares a recreation area with a bowling, cricket and football club. On offer at the club is social tennis, coaching and competitive play.

Social Play

While it’s easy to book a court for your own games, members enjoy meeting to play on a Wednesday night. These sessions are turn up and mix in and so you’re assured of a game or two.

Coaching

Kids start with mini tennis, which uses smaller courts and equipment as well as fun game play to teach the basis of tennis. As they develop, kids have access to a range of coaching. Weekly adults sessions are available catering from beginners to more experienced players.

Competitive Tennis

The club enjoys a range of league play, with multiple mens and ladies team active. For those not quite ready for league play, the club hosts an annual Club Championship, which enables all to try match play.

Membership

New members and anyone thinking about joining are welcome to come down to try out the facilities. Wednesday night and during the weekend are great times to chat to some of the other members and try out the courts for free. When you’re ready to join, 7 membership types are available and range from adult, junior, and daytime only. This range ensure that membership is open to all.
