Whiteford Road Tennis and Badminton Club

Whiteford Road Tennis and Badminton Club is Plymouth’s only private club which is owned by its members. It originated circa 1910 when two squash courts were built and these still form a large part of the clubhouse, although they have since been converted into badminton courts. Tennis has been played at the Club since the 1920′s.

Social Play

During Club Play sessions you can just turn up and you are guaranteed a game. Plus you’re free as a member to play on free courts.

Coaching

Peter Sherlock is the club’s professional tennis coach and has over 30 years experience. Peter runs a variety of activities, throughout the year at Whiteford Road, to encourage players to improve their game and enhance their enjoyment of tennis.

For juniors, there’s a wide range of coaching available for minis, improvers and team players. Plus there are fun holiday camps which are open to all.

Adults can benefit from joining in with multiple group courses as well as private lessons.

Competitive Tennis

As one of the longest standing members of Plymouth and District League, it won’t surprise you that the club competes in the league with multiple teams. And as result, there’s plenty of opportunities for all who wish to play competitively.

Membership

As Whiteford Road Tennis and Badminton Club offers both tennis and badminton, a range of membership packages are available. These include tennis only, badminton only and a combination. So no matter your age or requirements, there’s a package for you at Whiteford Road.
