Wing Tennis Club

Wing Tennis Club is a small club near Leighton Buzzard that is one of the friendliest and best value clubs around!

Founded in 1989, the courts opened in 1991 together with the bowls green. Wing Tennis Club put up 3 courts on the site of the interwar grass courts that had been abandoned. The previous grass court champion (Lou Woodward) opened the courts in 1990 complaining about modern racquets being too strong! He brought the 1939-cup which he won and which the Club still uses.

Social Play

Members enjoy meeting for social tennis on Sunday mornings and this session is very popular. Outside the club’s programme, courts are available for members use at any time except when they are in use.

Coaching

Craig Keeling, an LTA Level 3 qualified coach, heads up the coaching at Wing Tennis Club. He aim is to promote and develop tennis within the Wing area giving players the opportunity to access a range of different coaching sessions at reasonable prices. Therefore you don’t have to be a club member to join in with the coaching programme.

Competitive Tennis

All members have the chance to compete in club fixtures in both Adult and Junior leagues. The club compete in both the Aylesbury & District and Milton Keynes Tennis Leagues.
