Papworth Tennis Club is a small club with high standards and big goals. Located close to Cambridge, the semi-rural club draws it members from the surrounding area. As a very friendly club, families are actively encouraged to join. However, individuals are just as welcome!

 

Social Play

Four turn up and play club sessions take place each week. And so there’s at least one you’ll be able to attend. These social tennis events enable all members to play regularly while working on their game and meeting new people. In addition the club’s packed time table, members can easily book courts for their own games.

 

Coaching

Coaching in Papworth Tennis Club is provided by Over & In. They offer group coaching for a wide range of ages and abilities. From mini tennis to advanced adults who would like to progress their skills. Individual coaching sessions are also available.

 

Competitive Tennis

The club holds one main social tournament called the Alicante Cup each year. In addition there is an annual Club Tournament each year. In terms of external match play, Club teams compete in both the Business Houses and LTA Leagues winter and summer for Ladies, Men, Mixed and Junior.

 

Membership

Papworth Tennis Club also represents excellent value for money. Junior memberships is only £38. Adult membership costs only £90. The benefits of membership far outweigh the cost.

 

Extras

As the club aims to encourage all to get involved with tennis, the coaching team can often be found in local schools inspiring the next generation.
