Walsall Tennis Club

Walsall Tennis Club has been the premier tennis venue in the area for 104 years!

 

The club’s facilities consist of five high-quality synthetic grass courts, two of which are floodlit. A purpose built practice wall and mini tennis area are also available. A wooden pavilion provides accommodation for changing and social purposes. The courts are all weather and play and coaching continues during the winter months.

 

Social Play

Members can take part in “mix-ins” every Saturday afternoon all year and Wednesday evenings during the summer months. Plus as a member, you have access to the court for your own games, all year-round.

 

Coaching

Adult beginners and improvers can take part in a weekly coaching group. A wide range of activities is available for juniors.

 

Competitive Tennis

Competition is vital for a thriving tennis club and there are opportunities for all levels of players. A number of teams compete in Staffordshire League and Walsall League.

 

In addition to league play, the club hosts, an annual traditional knockout tournament, and about ten “American” style tournaments in the summer. Also, a Walsall Open Mens’ Doubles event usually takes place in September.

 

Membership

Walsall Tennis Club offers various categories of membership are available to cater for the needs of most individuals. And as the club offers some of the lowest membership fees in the country, the benefits of joining far outweigh the cost.
