Beechcroft Tennis Club
Tucked away behind houses near to Robin Hood Island in Hall Green, Birmingham. Beechcroft Tennis and Multisports Club is a friendly, community sports club run by its members. The club’s rich history dates back to the 1930’s. Beechcroft still retains its original club house which was used by the Home Guard during WWII. The excellent outdoor facilities for a range of sports including tennis, football and many more.
Beechcroft Tennis Club offers people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to become involved in all levels of tennis. Whether that is competing, enjoying a friendly informal game or wanting to improve and develop your game. There’s something available for all ages and abilities. A variety of coached sessions, socials and free play which form the club’s program, provide you with a range of opportunity to participate in tennis.
Regular social tennis sessions are open to all members. These events provide members with the perfect great opportunity to play doubles or singles with other tennis players. In addition, there are fun friendly American Tournaments throughout the year to raise money for the club and as a result provide a more competitive element.
Designed to get the best out of young players, the club’s junior programme provides both a fun and enjoyable environment. Children will improve their agility, co-ordination and balance whilst developing all round tennis skills. Where as the adult coaching programme offers a variety of sessions from organised groups, individual or pay and play lessons for all ages and abilities.
Beechcroft has many players competing in across many local leagues and age groups. Adult teams compete in the Birmingham Leagues, Metropolitan Leagues, and Vets leagues. Junior tennis members compete in local mini red competitions. As a result of the strong competitive tennis focus, Beechcroft Tennis Club is always looking to grow it’s teams.
A variety of memberships is available and each type provides many benefits. From coaching discounts, to court bookings as well as social session and events.
There are also a variety of social events throughout the year including quiz nights, meals out and a Christmas party. And when the weather turns, members engage in table tennis in the clubhouse!
