Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club

Founded in 1922, Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club is a private members club. The Club is located on the north side of Birmingham and shares the site with Sutton Coldfield Squash Racquets Club.

 

There are both outdoor and indoor tennis courts, and a range of playing surfaces. In addition, there is a Junior Zone, a practice wall and a Gym.

 

Social Play

A number of club sessions are available each week, including men’s only on Monday night, ladies’ only Tuesday night, and Friday is when the juniors meet. Outside these sessions, there are plenty of opportunities to book a court for your own game. Plus non-members can also book courts on a pay and play basis.

 

Coaching

The Club’s coaching programme is structured for all levels of play and is headed by Chris Johnson, who is one of the few LTA accredited performance coaches in the Midlands.

 

Competitive Tennis

If you’re after a challenge, then a wide range of opportunities for all members of all ages and playing abilities to enjoy inter-club competition.

 

Membership

Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club offers a number of membership options for singles, families and juniors as well as social membership. There is a joining fee, however, some discounts are available.

 

If you’re hoping to combine tennis with general fitness, then you can upgrade your membership to include access to the gym as part of their package.

 

Extras

After working out, enjoy a pint in the cosy bar! It’s the perfect spot to relax and catch up with friends. Also, the clubhouse has a function room which is available for hire.
