Banbury Tennis Club

Located at the Banbury Sports Ground, Banbury Tennis Club is a superb community sports club. In existence since 1973, the club is the only tennis club in Banbury Town. The club is friendly and offers a range of tennis suitable for all ages and standards. From regular club nights, matches and the occasional social event. There is something for everyone.


Social Play

Club nights are on Tuesday and Friday evenings. New members and visitors are always welcome! These sessions enable players to enjoy a few games, work on their technique and meet other members.



The club’s LTA qualified coach runs a variety of coaching through the year. For example, on Monday evenings there is mix of Adult Beginner Coaching and a Junior Club night. Juniors also benefit from Summer Tennis Camps and other events.


Competitive Tennis

The club has a growing squad of juniors and an active senior membership supporting teams in the Oxfordshire, Thames Valley and Banbury leagues. In addition, the club holds  a few tournament during the summer.



With a range of options, membership of Banbury Tennis Club caters to all types of tennis player. Adult, Family, Young Adult and Junior are just some of the available options. Visitors are always welcome for a small fee. However, visitors who will be expected to join the club after three visits.



The club operates all year round and several hardy members make use of the floodlit courts and play throughout the winter! Also, the bar in the clubhouse is a great place to meet after a few games.
