Baxter Park and Brookside Tennis Club

Completely rebuilt in 2014, Baxter Park and Brookside Tennis Club aims to provide the opportunity for its members to play tennis, in an inclusive environment, promoting fair play and tolerance. The club aims to promote tennis to all members of the local community and provide a focus for social cohesion. The club places a particular emphasis on developing recreational opportunities for children.


Social Play

Adults benefit from two weekly club session on Monday and Wednesday evenings. These events are a great way to stay active, work on your skills and catch up with freinds. Plus, you can easily book courts outside the club’s programme. Either way, you have plenty of opportunities to play tennis!



Inspiring the next generation, junior coaching takes place on Tuesday evenings. However, no adult coaching is currently available. Therefore if you’re after a more comprehensive coaching programme, it may be best to look


Competitive Tennis

Placing match play at the heart of the club, there is a fun club tournament each month. These event therefore encourage all members to try their hand at competitive play. In addition a number of America style tournaments take place each year.



Since Baxter Park and Brookside Tennis Club has no joining fee or playing standards, joining the club is easy. Discounts are also available for early renewal.
