Braintree Lawn Tennis Club

Braintree Lawn Tennis club was formed in 1983 and is situated in a secluded but spacious location near Braintree Town Football Club. The club’s aim is to promote interest in the sport of tennis for all ages through social play, coaching and competition. Renowned for its friendly family atmosphere in all aspects of Club life, all are welcome.

 

Social Play

As a inclusive club, social tennis is at the heart of the weekly programme. There are four social session each week, which encourage members to stay active and play some tennis. Courts are available to adult members and supervised junior members outside the organized schedule.

 

Coaching

Rob Hardy is Head Coach at Braintree Lawn Tennis Club and runs the Tactical Tennis Academy. Rob and his team have run an extensive coaching programme for the last 15 years. Coaching ranges from 4 years old to 100! Lessons are available in either groups or Individually.

 

Competitive Tennis

The Club currently enters Men’s, Ladies, Mixed & Junior teams in the Halstead Leagues. Mixed teams are also entered for the Halstead Winter leagues. In addition, Junior teams compete in the Chelmsford and National Club Leagues.

 

Membership

Braintree Lawn Tennis Club has a variety of membership options for singles, families and juniors as well as social membership.

After a few games, you can relax in the clubhouse’s bar while catching up with other members and watching the action!
