Caesarean Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club
Established in 1867 as the Caesarean Croquet and Archery Club in the grounds of what is known as Springfield. By 1880, members were playing tennis as well and so this was included in the name. In 1916 the Club moved to its present premises, starting out with four tennis courts plus croquet lawns. Since then it has been known as the Caesarean Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club. There are currently 10 courts, 2 of which are indoors. In winter 4 of the outdoor courts sit under an air dome. So you can play tennis all year round, regardless of the weather!
Social Play
With a busy programme, it’s easy to get a game. Plus as the membership includes players of all standards, you’ll have a fantastic time playing tennis at the club. And you can even book courts online!

The club has a long history of coaching both for members and non members. The Club is proud to provide an excellent coaching team consisting of highly experienced individuals who can offer first-class tuition for all ages and all abilities. Junior membership includes FREE coaching sessions every Friday afternoon after school, during term time.
Competitive Tennis
While the club offers a range of coaching and social play, no competitive action is available.
