Caterham and Whyteleafe Tennis Club
Situated in a picturesque woodland setting on the Caterham/Whyteleafe border in Surrey, Caterham and Whyteleafe Tennis Club is a small, enthusiastic and welcoming tennis club. Players of all ages and abilities enjoy a friendly, inclusive and relaxed environment.
The club is fully affiliated to the LTA and is run by a committee of dedicated volunteers who are involved heavily with tennis and the local community. We have three outdoor, all-weather, brightly-painted tarmac courts and a small clubhouse.
Social Play
Throughout the year there are multiple free social sessions. Join in with internal tournaments, league matches and fun off-court events. Plus, you can book a court at no extra cost and just go and play!

- Manic Monday Mixed social from 6 pm
- Tasty Tuesday 10 am Social Mixed Session – Tea, chat & gently-paced tennis
- Every Wednesday: Ladies Tennis & Prosecco Lunch from noon
- Thursday night social sessions from 6 pm to dusk
- Fun Social Saturday 1.30-4.30 pm with Tea & cake!
- Sunday Beginners & Rusties’ Session at 9.30-10.30 am
- Super Sunday Social Session at 10.30 am
Coaching
There’s coaching through the week by Cooper Tennis in the Community that includes:
- > Cardio Tennis – Get fit, have fun & learn some tennis skills!
- > Adult group coaching – ideal for beginners and intermediaries.
- > Full Junior coaching programme after school and on Saturday mornings
- > LTA Youth Start coaching
- > Junior tournaments
- > Junior holiday camps.
Competitive Tennis
If you want to test your abilities with some competitive action, Caterham and Whyteleafe Tennis Club offers a range. You can have a go at the club’s Annual internal Club Championship and Player of the Year. For the adventurous, there’s league tennis. Plus plenty of fun tournaments throughout the year
Membership
Full adult membership for 2023/24 costs less than £9 a month. There’s a 50% discount for young adults, and favourable rates for juniors and their playing parents. As a member, you can enjoy off-court social events.
