Charlton Kings Tennis Place

Charlton Kings Tennis Place is a friendly local tennis club based at Balcarras School Sports Centre. The club offers something to members of all ages and abilities. There is a superb mix of coaching, competitive matchplay and casual play opportunities. The club has earned Clubmark status demonstrating that it is a progressive, safe and a well organised club.


Social Play

Adult members meet twice a week for club sessions. These provide a great way to play some tennis, stay active and meet new people. Juniors meet on Friday evenings during term time for a supervised club session. Also you can book courts for your own games for free online.



The exciting programme of coaching includes regular Cardio Tennis, group coaching courses for adults and juniors as well as holiday camps for juniors. Adult can also arrange individual or small group sessions. Coaching is open to both members and non-members. So, if you’re looking at developing your skills, then Charlton Kings Tennis Place offers a range of options.


Competitive Tennis

The club competes with two ladies teams in the local Dunlop Gloucestershire summer league. Also a number of American Tournaments take place throughout the season. These enable all members to experience match play in friendly yet competitive environment.



Charlton Kings Tennis Place operates from 1st April to 1st October 2017. A number of membership options are available including adult, junior and family. As the club only operates for six months each year, fees are very affordable.



Throughout the season there are also a number of fun events, including Family Tennis Days, Round Robins, and social events.
