Culford Sports and Tennis Centre

Located just 3 miles from Bury St Edmunds, Culford Sports and Tennis Centre is an outstanding multi-sports facility. The centre is set in 480 acres of beautiful parkland on the Culford School estate. Culford’s ambition is to be at the forefront of sporting provision in both the local community and within the East of England. Plus with all indoor tennis courts, the weather is the least of your worries!

Social Play

Thursday evenings offer an opportunity to meet fellow members and play some great tennis. And as all standards are welcome, it’s likely you can play against players of a similar standard. Of course, you are also able to book courts for your own use.

Coaching

Culford’s impressive coaching team includes former Davis Cup player, Andrew Richardson and James Yates, a Level 5 Master Performance Coach. There are a number of group coaching course which take place each week. These include adult beginners, ladies improvers and adult matchplay.

Competitive Tennis

Unfortunately Culford does not compete in local leagues. However it does hold a number of club tournaments each year. If you’re looking for a wider range of competitive play, then you may want to consider other local clubs.

Membership

Platinum, Gold and Silver Club Memberships are available. Each one offers a different level of access and flexibility, from a casual pay and play basis, through to an all inclusive package. Since there are no joining fees and some membership can be purchased on a monthly basis, joining Culford Sports and Tennis Centre is simple.

The centre also runs holiday camps for children. In addition, Culford’s 480 acres estate is available for weddings.
