Downton Tennis Centre

Downton Tennis Centre is a friendly, growing tennis club set in the historic village of Downton, Wiltshire. Established in 1984, and Clubmark accredited since 2009, Downton Tennis Centre proudly gained Beacon Status in 2011. Both achievements emphasising the club’s goals of providing quality and affordable tennis opportunities.

 

The Club programme offers a mix of adult, junior, squad and individual opportunities. Members also have access for part of the year to indoor courts, which means you can play all year round and stay on top of your game!

 

Social Play

Various mix-in sessions are available during the week whatever your standard. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed but the tennis is competitive providing an excellent opportunity to develop your game.

 

Coaching

Head Coach Ben Sherlock offers a wide variety of coaching to members, both junior and adult. These include one-on-one sessions or group coaching. When you join, as a new member, you are entitled to a FREE, 30-minute session with Ben to help get your tennis off to the best possible start.

 

The juniors programme takes children from 5 years up and competition is inbuilt into the programme.

 

Competitive Tennis

The club is very active in local leagues, including the Sarum League and AEGON tennis. Downton Tennis Centre also host a number of club tournaments each year. With such a great range available, if you want to play more competitively there’s plenty of options available.

 

Membership

Downton Tennis Centre offers a variety of membership packages so there’s something to suit everyone. Guests are welcome for up to three visits before having to join.
