Eaton Bray Tennis Club
Founded in 1987, Eaton Bray Tennis Club is a social and friendly club, with members of all standards and ages. As an active and sociable club, many members join as a way to get to know people in the village. So, whether you’d like to join for the tennis or for the social events – you are welcome!
Social Play
If you want to experenice the club, then join in at a adult’s social tennis session. Each week there two social play events, one is on Tuesday evenings and the other in on Sunday mornings. There is also a junior social tennis evening on Wednesdays. In addition, as a Member, you have access to the courts when you feel like it. And since there is plenty of free court time, you can play tennis as often as you want!
Coaching
The junior section of the club has grown rapidly under the guidance of Head Coach, Sara Leavy. She runs 7 weekly coaching sessions for all age groups on Wednesdays evenings and Saturdays. There are also junior holiday camps in the school holidays! Adult members also have access to various coaching sessions from “Get Back into…” to improvers and intermediate groups. Private lessons are available for all ages.
Competitive Tennis
In terms of play match, Eaton Bray Tennis Club actively compete in the South Bedfordshire county leagues. In recent years teams have tasted success!
Membership
With membership costing a little over £1 per week, the benefits of joining far out weigh the cost. Plus with a range of options available, Eaton Bray Tennis Club caters for tennis player of all ages and abilities.
Extras
The club organises a selection of social events each year. These include a summer BBQ, a Christmas Curry, quiz nights as well as games nights. Usually after a good workout on the courts, members enjoy a pint or two at a local pub.
