Epperstone Sports and Leisure Club
Epperstone Sports and Leisure Club is set in the heart of rural Nottinghamshire and offers members all year round tennis. The courts can also be used for 5-a-side football and have been used regularly by local junior football teams for winter training.
The club’s aim is to encourage participation in sport for adults and juniors with a range of social tennis activities available. Affiliated to the LTA, the club also have an active role in running village social events. These include live music, quiz nights and BBQs.
Social Play
There are regular social tennis sessions. Also, members have unlimited court access outside of the social tennis sessions.
Coaching
In terms of coaching, Mini Tennis and adult coaching sessions run each week. There is also adult improver coaching for ladies and men. Nick McGowan is in charge of the club’s coaching and he is highly qualified and experienced.
Competitive Tennis
While the club doesn’t compete in local leagues, it does run an annual tournament. This is the highlight of the club’s calendar and enables members to challenge their skills.
Membership
Joining Epperstone Sports and Leisure Club is superb value for money. For example, adult membership costs a little more than £1 per week.
