Forres Tennis Club
The mission of Forres Tennis Club is to make the sport of tennis more accessible to the local community, in particularly the younger generation. The club’s rich history dates back to 1883. The first annual subscription fee was five shillings for lady members, and gentlemen members paid ten!
Social Play
If you would like to meet new people and play some tennis come, join a club session on Wednesday evening or Sunday morning. For anyone just starting out or who have not played for a while, Rusty Racquets session are on Friday mornings. All of these sessions are open to members and non-members. And offer a great way to get to know the club and members whilst developing your game. In addition members can easily book courts for their own games.
Coaching
For juniors, regular coaching takes place on Tuesday afternoons and evenings, there are also summer camps. The club employs a coach as well as a visiting professional coach, who provides an all year round coaching programme.
Competitive Tennis
For those interested in playing more competitive tennis, the Club runs a number of junior and senior teams. These teams compete in the Highlands District Leagues and the Scottish Cup.
