Gynsill Lawn Tennis Club

Gynsill Lawn Tennis Club prides itself on the unique ethos developed over many years. Simply put, the club is well known for it’s friendly, welcoming, fun atmosphere and spirit of fair play.

 

The origins of Gynsill Lawn Tennis club date back to the 1920’s when part of the current site was known as the Anstey Sports Club.

 

Social Play

Whether you want to play at the weekly social tennis sessions or use a court for your own matches, there’s plenty of oportuntities. Members enjoy meeting twice a week on a Saturday afternoon or a Wednesday evening for mix-in sessions. Not only are these great for playing tennis, they are superb for meeting like minded people.

 

Coaching

If you’re looking to improve your skills then the club’s coaching team deliver a comprehensive coaching programme. Individual or group sessions are available. So help is on hand to help you reach your goals.

 

Competitive Tennis

There are a variety of teams including men’s, juniors, mixed and vets playing in various leagues throughout the year. Also a variety of tournaments take place throughout the year for members, including men’s, ladies and handicap singles as well as doubles events.

 

Membership

Gynsill Lawn Tennis Club offers 9 membership types. Prospective new members are welcome to attend a club play session either on a Saturday afternoon or a Wednesday evening before joining. Adult membership costs just over £2 per week and so it’s affordable to join the club.

There are regular social events all year round which are always popular and well supported.
