Hendreds Tennis Club
Hendreds Tennis Club is located at the Sports Club in the heart of East Hendred, a stone’s throw from excellent pubs and a village shop! The village is located close to Wantage and welcomes those from near and far. The club is a friendly, private club which enjoys a good standard of tennis.
Social Play
A morning ladies group and two minis sessions run weekly in term time. There are also club sessions on Sunday mornings. By summer, members also enjoy meeting on Wednesday evenings, too.
Also, if you want to play outside these sessions then it’s easy to book a court and you can even do it online!
Coaching
The LTA registered club offers junior and adult coaching. There is a range of weekly group coaching sessions available. However, if that’s not enough the club can help you find a local coach for individual lessons.
Competitive Tennis
The club runs a couple of tournaments, as well as various friendly fixtures during the year. And so while the club doesn’t field teams in local leagues, it does offer some competitive opportunities for members.
Membership
Families, individual adults or juniors can join Hendreds Tennis Club at very competitive rates. For example, adult membership costs less than £1 per week. That’s fantastic value for money!
Extras
Social events including competition, fun and fundraising, form part of the club’s off-court programme.
