Heworth Tennis Club
Situated in York, near the city centre, Heworth Tennis Club is a small friendly club. With 4 all-weather courts and a range of activities, all ages will enjoy playing tennis at the club.
Social Play
With 4 weekly sessions, it’s easy to get on court for a game. Whether you want to play midweek or at the weekend, there’s a session for you. Plus, there are monthly Community Open Days and numerous social events each year.
Coaching
If you’re looking to develop your game, then there’s a number of group coaching sessions each week. These include rusty rackets and Cardio Tennis. The club’s thriving junior section meets weekly for a range of fun game play and lessons.
Competitive Tennis
In terms of competitive play, there are successful teams in the York and District Mixed League, the Fulford Ladies’ League and also in the Tykes Petroleum Men’s League. Juniors play in AEGON team tennis leagues and tournaments.
The club also runs its own Mixed Ladder as well as regular Club Tournaments throughout the year.
Membership
With a range of affordable membership, Heworth Tennis Club caters to all. For example, adult membership costs under £2 per week. And of course, the club offer option for families, couple and students.
Extras
Also, the clubhouse is available for hire during the day for meetings or small groups.
