Hook and Newnham Lawn Tennis Club
Hook and Newnham Lawn Tennis Club welcomes everyone with some experience of playing tennis. While you don’t have to be a match player and age is no barrier, you are require to have a certain level of fitness so that you can enjoy your time on the court.
Social Play
You will have the opportunity to play with all levels of ability during club sessions and also time to get to know other members. Club play is on Thursdays evenings and also Sunday afternoons. During these sessions everyone mixes in for some enjoyable tennis. As long as courts are not in use, members are welcome to use them for their own games.
Coaching
While the club doesn’t provide any coaching, some can be arranged if required through, Will May-Miller.
Competitive Tennis
There is a annual Club competition, which is open to all members and usually followed by a BBQ! For the more competitive, the club is active in the Basingstoke League and have a respectable record.
Membership
As a small club, Hook and Newnham Lawn Tennis Club is affordable to join. To experience the club, either take part in an open day or ask to join a social tennis session.
Extras
The bar at the Cricket Club Pavilion is available to tennis club members when open for cricket activities.
