Houghton Tennis Club
Formed in 1976, Houghton Tennis Club is located in the village of Houghton-on-the-Hill, just east of Leicester. With a professional tennis coach and a thriving membership of all ages and abilities, the Club provides superb tennis opportunities for all residents of Houghton-on-the-Hill aged 5 and over.
Social Play
There is a superb mix of social tennis session each week, with two family events and three adults sessions. As these sessions are spread out over the week, members should be able to get to at least one session. In addition the club’s programme, courts are available to members at all other times.
Coaching
Paul Bradfield, provides professional and enjoyable tennis coaching sessions for children from the ages of 3 upwards and for adults of any age!
Competitive Tennis
Teams from Houghton Tennis Club are very active in local tennis leagues. Therefore, the club is always on the look out for more players to join them. If you’re not quite up to league standard but want a challenge then a number of tournaments take place each year.
Membership
Membership of Houghton Tennis Club is open to all residents of Houghton-on-the-Hill (aged 5 years and over). New applications for membership are always very welcome. Subject to a prescribed maximum, residents of nearby villages may also apply for membership.
