Kent Elms Tennis Club
Founded in 1948, Kent Elms Tennis Club began life with a single court. Over the years, the club has grown but is still owned by the members. Today the club offers an exciting programme for Adult and Juniors. The fun continues off court with a range of social events.
Social Play
Members enjoy a high standard of social tennis with regular sessions and plenty of court time for members to book. All in all, you’ll enjoy playing at the various opportunities.
The club is also home to a group for the retired/semi-retired, which offers people of a certain age the ability to learn tennis later in life.
Coaching
Washington Handitye is a mature LTA qualified coach with a range of experience. He offers a comprehensive range of coaching from tots, juniors and adults. So whatever your goal or requirement, Washington is available to help you reach them.
Competitive Tennis
The club competes in the Leigh and Westcliff Tennis League in ten summer teams and ten winter teams. And as a result, there are opportunities for all standard of competitive players.
Membership
While Kent Elms Tennis Club has 5 levels of membership, it does strive to maintain a good standard of play. The club introductory scheme and ‘Improver Membership’ is aimed at giving all potential members the opportunity to meet the ‘playing in’ standard for full membership.
