Kilmarnock Tennis Club

Formed in 1936, Kilmarnock Tennis Club has a long rich history of over 80 years. Situated near the centre of town, new members of all ages and abilities are welcome.

Social Play

Social tennis is encouraged on Friday nights as well as on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. Saturday social play is immediately after Saturday adult coaching. While these sessions are informal, they do provide members and non-members alike the opportunity to play tennis, improve skills and meet new people. There is a small fee for non-members.

Coaching

Members and non-members are welcome to attend Tuesday and Saturday coaching, with club coach, John Howie. For the juniors, there is also a regular programme of sessions including weekly coaching and school holiday camps.

Competitive Tennis

Kilmarnock Tennis Club offers the competitive tennis player a range of outlets. Teams compete in the Ayrshire Doubles Leagues in summer. In addition, teams compete in the Ayrshire Mixed Doubles and the Winter Indoor Mixed Doubles. A number of club tournaments also run throughout the summer.

With 11 membership options, the club offers more chances to get involved than most other UK tennis clubs. So, whether you’re an adult, single parent, student or junior, Kilmarnock Tennis Club has an option for you.
