Kingsgate Lawn Tennis Club
Kingsgate tennis club is a family-friendly and affordable tennis club in a beautiful setting by the Itchen navigation canal. The club is just a short distance from Winchester city centre. In addition to a superb range of tennis, members enjoy the many social events which take place throughout the year.
Social Play
The club has a lively social tennis programme, which aims to provide opportunities for all kinds of players. This includes two weekly doubles mix-in club nights, barbeque and drinks at the Wednesday night mix-in, American style friendly tournament and so much more.
Coaching
Club Coach, David Woodford, runs a comprehensive coaching programme, catering for all ages and abilities. Also, as a member, you’re eligible for two free adult doubles coaching evenings and two free family coaching evenings a year.
Competitive Tennis
Opportunity to play in the annual summer tournament and all year round singles box league. The Club also runs a number of teams in both the Summer and the Winter Hampshire Leagues.
Membership
While Kingsgate Lawn Tennis Club charges a joining fee, it is small and only applies to new members. The club offers four different membership types including family, adult, and juniors. This means the club is open to all types of tennis players.
